Kendrea Griffith aka Mekkah has been featured in The Charlotte Observer, Greensboro News & Record and Creative Loafing. She has had magazine profiles in Sotac (Winter 04) and Skirt Magazine (June 2005 Charlottes Powerful Women Issue). Her most recent published art and poems can be found in Thrift Poetic Arts Journal Vol 2 Issue 2, the 2006 National Poetry Slam Anthology and "The Beautiful Medusa" a book of poetry.Kendrea has also written for stage and contributed poems to a number of theatrical presentations some of which are mentioned above. The most recent stage adaptation of her writing (the poem "Taal Sanaam") can be seen in the 2008 play "Miles & Coltrane: Blue (.)" written and produced in collaboration with the artist collective The Concrete Generation.
