We close with motivational poetry and and a reading from The Beautiful Medusa.

Tongue Paint
Description: A twelve session writing and performance course adaptable for all writing levels (ages 13 and over), including performances internationally recognized poets. Equal focus is placed on poetics and art of performance poetry. Students will learn and experiment with traditional poetic forms including Tanka, Renga, Sonnets, Villanelle and multi- voice poems. Poetry is also dis cussed in the social context, with emphasis placed on the Beat poets. The course culminates with a student poetry showcase and a poetry slam. Sessions may be scheduled in any of the following formats:(1) Four weeks with 3 sessions per week
(2) Six weeks with 2 sessions per week
(3) Three months with 1 session per week.
