Description:A twelve session writing and performance course adaptable for all writing levels (ages 13 and over), including surprise performances. Equal focus is placed on poetics and art of performance poetry. Students will learn and experiment with various poetic forms including Tanka, Renga, Sonnets and the “group piece.” To conclude students will present a poetry showcase and participate in a slam. Sessions may be scheduled prior to signing contract and you may from the following formats: (1) Four weeks with 3 sessions per week; (2) Six weeks with 2 sessions per week; (3) Three months with 1 session per week
